This Haeckels Skin product is packaed in vivomer, a brand new bio-polymer. It's an entirely vegan and compostable material made with a little help from friendly microbes. Grown by nature, this packaging performs like plastic but without the detrimental effects at its end of life as it’s consumed again by the same microbes that created it. Vivomer will degrade organically like tree branches, given its origins are also natural.

Biome Balance Serum is designed to aid in the maintenance of your natural skin microbiota by utilising a potent combination of microbiome-friendly ingredients.
Combining the powerful antioxidant properties of Lactobacillus and Kelp ferment filtrate with an exciting, microbiologically-derived bioactive, seaweed polysaccharides and marine exopolysaccharides work in harmony in Biome Balance Serum to visibly smooth, mattify and moisturise the skin.
Haeckels is driven by honesty and are transparent about their journey. They enthuse about the health giving properties of the sea and raise awareness about effective natural products. They have a licence to harvest seaweed by hand from the beach near their shop!

The packaging is fully home compostable - you can put it in your food waste or leave it in your compost bin.
