This deodorant is gentle on skin whilst effective. This pack includes one reusable aluminium case and one natural deodorant refill so going forward you will just need to buy the refills. The refill should last 4-6 weeks with daily application. The texture is a soft bar that is immediately absorbed into the skin when you swipe it on your underarms so it doesn’t leave your underarms feeling wet or sticky.

Apply a couple of swipes under dry arms at the start of the day or after showering, there's no need for rubbing.

To put a refill into your case, first make sure that you’ve rotated the twisting mechanism at the bottom of the aluminium case as far as it can go (it will stop you twisting any further) so that the inner section is fully wound down. Push in the buttons either side of the case and pull the bottom of the case downwards. Get the new refill ready to insert into the case by removing the lid but do not remove the packaging around the refill. Take out the old refill, put the new refill in and reinsert the bottom of the case. Twist the bottom of the case to push the deodorant upwards and apply to your body. Don't panic if there's some oil staining on the refill, it's because it's made entirely of paper.

Some people experience a transition period of a little more sweating than they're used to when switching from years of antiperspirant use to a natural deodorant. This usually only lasts for a couple of weeks until things settle down as your body gets used to functioning again without an antiperspirant blocking your underarm sweat glands. Our biggest advice is to stick with it, as there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Some tips to help in the transition:
- have a quick rinse - remember it's not sweating itself that causes odour but rather when sweat is left on the skin as it encourages the growth of odour-causing bactieria
- use a gentle exfoliant when you shower
- apply throughout the day as needed - in the early days you can just top up a bit more regularly if you feel you need it.

The refills are made from bamboo pulp which is widely recyclable and can be recycled at home alongside any paper or card. They are also fit for home composting.

The cases are designed to last for life, so there shouldn't be any need to recycle them. However, if you find that you no longer need your case, you can send it back to Wild for recycling with their TerraCycle scheme. Please email them on hello@wearewild.com for the address.
